KYM Diploma in Yoga - Teaching in Bangalore

CONDUCTED AT KRISHNA YOGA & CULTURAL CENTRE

Internationally Renowned KYM Diploma in Yoga – Teaching accreditation is conducted exclusively in Bangalore only at Krishna Wellness Yoga Centre.

  • The Course has been accredited and aligned with "Yoga Teacher & Evaluator” Course under Yoga Certification Board, MInistry of AYUSH
  • The programme is in alignment with the certification requirements of the ‘Advanced Certificate Course in Yoga’ under Indian Yoga Association (IYA, India) and ‘800-Hour Yoga Teacher and Evaluator Certification’ from the Yoga Certification Board (YCB, India).
  • All the senior, faculty, teachers, and trainers will be coming from KYM – Chennai as faculty for the course.
  • The course consists of 3 semesters.
  • Convenient Timings - Classes will be held only on weekends for the convenience of working professionals.
  • During the 15 month period there will be continuous communication and mentoring by the KYM Teachers with the students.
  • Personal Mentoring is a very important part of the Program to ensure that the Yoga Teachers are properly guided in order to become thoroughly proficient in teaching Yoga in the appropriate manner, and to ensure that the tradition is maintained and also that the science behind Yoga is properly understood.
  • There will be a 3 day Internship and Observation Course which will be held at the 45 year old institution in Chennai This will be an internship where the students get to practice and learn with the senior teachers of KYM – Chennai.
  • Classes will be offeredon a hybrid model – online and offline at the Sri Krishna Wellness, Yoga and Cultural Centre Premises are feasible.
  • The three-day internship at the KYM, Chennai will also be a part of the training
  • Observations of group classes at KYM Chennai is part of the internship at KYM, Chennai

SHRI T. KRISHNAMACHARYA
The Purna Yogacharya

  • Late Shri T. Krishnamacharya is often called the Father of Modern Yoga and synonymous with contemporary yoga
  • He was unique in many ways as a Master of Yoga, as a teacher, as an Ayurvedic physician and as a scholar.
  • He is considered one of the most important masters who revived the practice of yoga in the early 20th century
  • His well – known disciples and students are Sri BKS Iyengar,Shri TKV Desikachar, and Madame Indra Devi.
  • Shri T. Krishnamacharya held degrees in all the six Vedic darśanas, or Indian philosophies.
  • He is widely considered as the architect of Vinyāsa Yoga in the sense of combining breathing or pranayama with movement.
  • He was also a good healer, adept in his diagnostic skills and created powerful yoga-based interventions focusing specifically on Cikitsa or Therapy.
  • Underlying all of Krishnamacharya's teachings was the principle "Teach what is appropriate for an individual."
  • He authored four books on yoga — Yoga Makaranda, Yogaasanagalu, Yoga Rahasya, and Yogavalli as well as several essays and poetic compositions.
  • Late Shri T. Krishnamacharya was the Yoga teacher to several Indian Maharajas and their families including the Maharaja of Mysore, Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, The Maharaja of Jaipur and several others.

ABOUT SRI TKV DESIKACHAR

  • Sri TKV Desikachar founded Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai in 1976 as Guru – Dakshina to his father Sri T Krishnamacharya.
  • He is known for his inimitable ability of demystifying yoga philosophy and for his pioneering work in the area of wellness and yoga therapy.
  • A brilliant diagnostician and yoga therapist, Sri TKV Desikachar’s skills for prognosis and diagnosis were legendary.
  • Full credit goes to him for creating the representational stick figures that are so widely used by students and teachers of yoga the world over.
  • His no-nonsense teaching style continues to resonate in the minds of his students.
  • The International Day of Yoga is also celebrated on his birthday.
  • Sri TKV Desikachar’s landmark book, “The Heart of Yoga,” till today remains a bestseller as a comprehensive reference book for yoga enthusiasts
