Yoga Teachers
Yoga teachers who wish to integrate healing chants and mantra more meaningfully into their teaching, and who want to understand the relationship between sound, breath, attention and therapeutic application.

Yoga Practitioners
Students with an ongoing yoga practice who wish to deepen their learning through structured study of healing chants, rather than learning isolated chants without context, pedagogy or guidance.

Chanting Learners
Those who feel drawn to the tradition of Vedic and healing chants and want to study them through a systematic, mentored and teacher-led program rooted in lineage and precision.

Aspiring Teachers of Healing Chants
Students who wish to move beyond personal interest and build the knowledge, discipline and clarity required to eventually teach healing chants responsibly and authentically.
About the Program
Healing chants have long been an integral part of the KYM tradition, not only as a sacred oral discipline but also as a practical and meaningful support within the wider framework of yoga. The KYM–SKWC Healing Chants Teacher Training Program has been designed to introduce students to this tradition through a structured curriculum that combines chanting practice, theory, pedagogy, therapeutic understanding and personal mentoring.
The program aims to help participants develop a grounded understanding of healing chants as they are studied in the KYM tradition: not merely as sounds to be memorised, but as a refined discipline involving correct recitation, sensitivity to breath and rhythm, understanding of meaning, and awareness of how mantra may be integrated into yoga practice.
Key Features of the Program
A Structured 9-Month Teacher Training Journey
This is a carefully paced program that allows students to build both competence and confidence over time through repeated learning, guided practice and sustained engagement.
Hybrid Learning with Depth
The program combines the accessibility of online theory classes with the depth of in-person chanting, correction and mentoring, ensuring that the learning is both practical and rooted.
Weekend-Only Schedule
All classes are conducted only on weekends, making the program accessible to working professionals, homemakers, yoga practitioners and serious learners who require a consistent but manageable schedule.
Rooted in the KYM Tradition
The program is informed by the pedagogical approach and healing orientation of the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram tradition, known for its deep integration of yoga, breath, chanting and therapeutic application.
